Facebook vent

If I post pics it's usually fun pics of the kids or vacation, etc.
Why do people feel the need to post nasty or sad pics?! I get on some mom's sites they want to know what the rash might be. Although I like it better when they do... pics in comments.
This morning I open FB and on the local community page someone posts a pic of a dead baby bird (or they think it's dead) and asking what to do with it. Is it necessary for me to see this.
Another day either on that community page or another local, pubic one someone posted a dead deer that jumped their fence and how do they get rid of it. Again, don't need to see this poor, dead deer trapped on a fence either dead or suffering. Ugh!
I still don't get how taking out your phone to take video or pics at a sad event is necessary. I watch videos of people rescuing, which is great it's a happy ending, but when you see a dog trapped or homeless why grab a phone first thing?

I saw that bird and I also saw a dead cat. The cat was shared on an animal page and then the administrator shared in a moms group. Was not necessary to post in a moms group, I understand on a rescue or animal group.

Agreed with an animal group, but don't understand the question asking advice on something suffering or dead along with a picture in a community page. Or put pics in comments.
Cat thing on a mom page isn't right either

Why couldn't they just ask- hey I have a dead deer on my property? What do I do? Who do I call?
Why is a picture necessary?
The picture of it is not going to change the answer on how to deal with it.
People are just assholes.

Re: Facebook vent

I agree photos like that should be posted in comments o give you the option of looking or not. Dead anything or pictures of rashes, blood, etc shouldn’t be the first thing you see when you open Facebook

Maybe message admin of these groups asking to make it a rule in the group? A lot of the Infertility groups I used to be it was a rule that if you are posting a positive pregnancy test, you were to write about it with a warning and then post pic in comments. Just to spare anyone who may be going through a loss or who may find it hard to see.

Just a thought

Because if there is no pic then it didn't happenChat Icon

I always scroll fast or hide it if someone post something sad or disgusting. I used to follow a Spartan group and they would constantly post their nasty feet and toenails that fell off. Like whyChat Icon I just left the group. I'll just google any info I need lol.
