Watch repair
I have had a Tag Heuer watch for almost about 20 years. I’ve only had to replace the battery a few times and everything has been OK with it. I don’t swim or shower with it.
It has sentimental value to me.
Anyway, I was winding the part to fix the date (April was only 30 days, so it needed to be changed) and that windy part broke and the knob fell off.
I went to get it repaired and I have to wait 4 weeks and it’s going to cost $200 to get it fixed (a quarter of what I paid for it).
Is this normal for high end watches?

My batteries cost about $10 each time. I never got the special pressurized close because they always said I didn’t need it. That’s why I was shocked by the amount. I guess it’s good to know I’m not crazy.
Oh well. I’ll pay it because the watch has significant sentimental value to me.

Re: Watch repair
The face fell out of the metal casing on my Apple Watch (I didnt do ANYTHING to make this happen) and they were going to charge me $200 to repair it because of course my warranty had expired
I ended up buying a new one. So annoying.
