What stores to goto?

Help!

I recently lost 180 pounds and usually shopped in all the plus sized stores (Lane Bryant, Avenue, Torrid, etc) but now I've sized out of them. I went to the mall the other day and was just overwhelmed and exhausted because I now have no idea where to go. Before it was easy because only 1 store fit so I only had 1 option so no choices.

I need simple black work pants and I have no idea where to go. I went to Kohls but just couldn't find anything with the right length (at 5'9 the short seemed to fit me the best, but still not right. Dont know how at 5'9 I could be considered short so I dont know what I was doing wrong LOL)

I went to Old Navy and got a few pairs of their pixie full length, but the pockets were like 2 inches big.Yes, I am female and I want pockets - that seems to be the hardest part of the whole thing.

So basically my question is, what stores should I be visiting? I'm looking for business casual pants (with pockets for my cell phone!) and tops.

First off...congrats on your weight loss. What an accomplishment!!!!

I have been finding some great finds at Dressbarn. I bought a lot of nice pants, tops and even casual dresses. I get asked all the time at work where I shop.

Try Macy's. Alfani Pull on Skinny Pants and Skinny Capris.
Size down, they run big.

Express has nice work pants too

I like Loft, Gap, Banana Republic and Macy's - the Alfani pull on pants Nell mentioned are really good. They come in so many colors and can be dressed up or down

Congrats on the weight loss! I think those pixie pants have the pockets sewed shut with a small piece of thread. Just rip it.

For black work pants I like express and banana republic. I too am 5’9 and these work well for me.

i'm having the same issues. not so much because of my weight loss, per se... it's more because i'm learning how to dress.

i'm liking Macy's and a few items at Old Navy.

Thanks everyone. I will check out these stores and hopefully find something that will work for me. Probably only will use them for a few months, since skin removal on my trunk is coming later this year and then all my sizes will change again.

I never made it to Macys but I was near a Loft so I found a pair there. Of course they were all a size too big, but at least the length and look and pockets were good so I will order online.

Congratulations! Holy cow, that's amazing! you shouldn't be afraid to shop what you like, regardless of length or straps, etc and take the clothes for tailoring.

Awesome weight loss, good for you.
I'm still plus but working my way down.
I like Talbots, especially when they have a sale. I think most of my pants are from there, and pretty much all of my work shirts.

LOFT is my go to for work pants. I also almost exclusively use Stitch Fix for tops. I very rarely request they send me pants bc I am SO short, its almost impossible to find pants for me.

You would think black pants are easy to find but I keep settling for black pants that are not exactly what I want. So many materials itch me! The Loft is pretty decent and has a few different cuts.
