Hershey Park
I was thinking of taking my kids (ages 4 and 7) to Hershey Park next month. I wanted to know if one day is enough there or do you need two days?

Re: Hershey Park
We only did Hershey 2 days first time. I think 1 day is enough. Especially if you go the night before for a couple of hours for preview night. We were there 2.5 hours the night before and kids went on tons of rides. Got up real early the next morning for when they opened and able to do a ton of rides. Even went to the boardwalk for some rides and to cool off. I had them wear bathing suits there to save time.
Here's what we do... first day get there early afternoon and straight to Chocolate World. We went on the ride and walked around, did the 4D movie and then we went to dinner at a place in Hershey Lodge. Went to the park for preview for a couple of hours. Next day spent the day in the park and left around 7 and headed back to Chocolate World to buy candy. Headed home (we live in NJ) and were back close to 11. Boys took quick showers and passed out.

Buy and reserve times for the activities at Chocolate World online because you may not get a time that works for you if you do it the day you go. We made that mistake and were unable to do the "create your own chocolate bar".

Thanks! Is the Chocolate world separate admission?

No admission at Chocolate World. We went on a Saturday afternoon and surprisingly not busy at all. It was in June though so never know how crowded it will be. No problems getting tickets to the movie. We didn't make the chocolate bc I was worried it would melt by the time we got home. Very little line too for the Hershey ride so we went on twice. LOL Also if it's your birthday they spoil you!

Chocolate World is free - it’s a big store with a ride about making chocolate- but if you want to make personalized candy bars or something like that, you need reservations and it costs $$.

Re: Hershey Park
Thanks all! Any hotel recommendations besides Hershey Lodge or Hotel Hershey (they seem to be way pricey, like over $400 a night).

My kids are the exact same age and one day was enough for us. However, my 4 year old didn’t go on too many rides. We did Chocolate World and the activities the night before. We stayed at Tru by Hilton. I honestly don’t know how much it was because we paid with credit card points. It’s a brand new hotel. Free breakfast in the morning, spotless, brand new everything. Can’t recommend it enough.

We usually stay at the SpringHill Suites. We have Marriott points so it’s free. Nothing fancy but free breakfast and an indoor pool.

Courtyard by Marriott Chocolate Ave. Brand new, clean, basic, all you need. Close to the park and lots of restaurants up the road
