work not performed well
Is there any recourse for work not performed well on a home? I had pavers put in and there have been many problems.

Most likely filing a complaint with the BBB and going to small claims court depending on the amount of compensation you're looking for.

This- if the person who put them in for you won't resolve it.

Your best bet is to just try to get the company to resolve the issues. Your other course of action would be small claims court.

Your best bet is to try to work it out with the company. If that doesn't work, you can complain to the BBB. Small claims court COULD be an option but bear in mind that damages can only amount to $5K or under in small claims court. Last I checked, pavers are a lot more than that. It may need to be something that gets resolved through civil court.

How did you pay? If you paid via credit card and it’s within a certain timeframe, you could also dispute until the company agrees to resolve the issue.

That's not really how it works. It would work for a few weeks while the credit card company investigates, but once they find out that the job was performed (just not up to par), they would release the dispute. CC disputes are not for legal recourse.
Also, most people pay cash/check for work.

That’s not totally true. I had carpeting installed, they did a crappy job and wouldn’t fix it. I disputed the charge and got my $$ back. Had another company redo it.
