Has anyone booked a Be Our Guest breakfast for prior to park opening? I snagged an 8:05 am for next week. How early did they let you in the park? I'm hoping to get to 7DMT right after we eat since we don't have a fast pass for that one

Also, we switched to the Beach Club. My plan is to just take a Minnie Van from Beach Club to MK that morning. Anyone know off hand what time the Minnie Vans start running?

I believe they’ll let you in MK at 7:45am. Minnie Vans start running as early as 6:30am

Thanks!

Disney 2019!

We just got back from our quick weekend trip yesterday. We ended up at the Yacht Club, I changed our hotel 4 times in the past 2 weeks LOL. We had a GREAT stay. My daughter's Birthday celebration surprise trip. I told her the night before, and we left my son home. She had a Birthday shirt, birthday ears, AND the cast member at check in coded her Magic Band to say it was her Birthday Celebration, so every single time she scanned at a ride, they knew. We got a lot of "pixie dust" from it being her birthday! Free ice cream, free fast passes (Slinky Dog!!!!), and she was in the Lion King show and we had reserved seating! A cast member approached us in the park and asked us if we were seeing the show, I said yes, next stop, she said to follow her.

We did an 8:05 Be Our Guest breakfast reservation so we could be ahead of the pack for 7 Dwarf's Mine Train. Worked like a dream! Plus we had birthday castle pics with NO ONE in them! We were about 20th in the line and while it was SUPER busy Saturday, we rode so many rides in MK. Then hopped to Epcot via the monorail, rode a couple of things (super busy there), ate in Mexico, then walked to the Yacht Club for pool time. Then took the boat over to Hollywood for some Toy Story land in the evening. It was an awesome day! Next day we hung at the pool all day, then because I had an "after 5pm" ticket, we went to Animal Kingdom. Rode so much from 5-10pm closing, and even got on Pandora with a surprise Fast Pass by refreshing constantly in the app (that is key!!!!).

Overall a super fun, quick weekend! LOVE the Yacht Club, we have stayed there several times, and the location and pool are just awesome!

Don't quote because I don't want to leave this pic up for long, but look at that...NO ONE ! LOL

Does anyone know when they typically release the Christmas Party dates? I am hoping by the time I have to do ADR next month they will be out.

I booked a last minute trip to Disneyland in Cali for next week. Taking my son to see Star Wars Galaxy's Edge, he is going to be SO EXCITED! I hate Star Wars, but I do love Disneyland! I'm not telling him until the day of. Anyone planning to go to the FL opening?

We did a last minute trip there in July! We did a week in San Diego and a week in Anaheim. It was great, but now I can't wait to go back to WDW. I keep looking at Disney chats.

DH is flying down next week for one day because SIL got a reservation to the cast member preview and gets to bring a guest. He is so excited.

ETA: We are going down at the end of the month but coming home a few days before the official opening. I think it's silly that DH is going down for one day to see Galaxy's Edge, but hey whatever floats his boat!

That's pretty cool!! You will have to report back after he goes. I'm wondering how it will compare to DL. I booked DL because my daughter will be at camp for the week, and because the weather is typically less swampy there, BUT, next week is 90's, ugh!

Trust me - I won't be able to stop him from talking about it! He is so excited. He is literally flying down on a Thursday night and coming home Friday night. He's completely insane. Chat Icon

So I was able to book reservations for Oga's Cantina, and the light saber and droid making for Star Wars Land. I didn't realize Oga's cantina may be drinks only (it's down as a lunch reservation). I will probably end up dropping the light saber activity just because of how expensive it is (the droid making is too, but not as much as making a light saber).

ETA we are going in November

No food in Ogas. I didn't want to cancel and lose $10 so we checked in and walked in and out. It was busy and just a bar. We fly home today. It was a great week, my son just loved the whole Galaxy's Edge area. Rode Smugglers Run 3 times.... I'm not a fan...had to close my eyes. Make sure you get night time pics in the land..its pretty cool. Maxpass is key for the rest of the park and its nice to have all pics included.

Droid making had no line when we went. My so decided he didn't want one though. So he picked out a $50 light up crystal thing instead..no idea what it's called lol. He also loved the blue milk...gag lol

We just did pictures and the ride. My DD asked me to buy 3 droids (I have 3 girls), but she wasn't too upset when I said no. All they know of Star Wars is from trips to Disney.

Also, I would do the droid making at the end of the day because you have to carry around this huge box. Unless you are staying at a Disney hotel, I believe they will send it there.

Re: Disney 2019!

DH absolutely loved Galaxy's Edge in HS. He said he the ride was really good but he expected more because of the way they were hyping it up.

He said that there is plenty to see and do even for a non Star Wars fan. He did go to the Cantina for some drinks and said that it was super cool. He also said that the character interaction was amazing, even down to the people working in the cantina or the rides.

All in all, he completed nerded out for the day. He said he feels a little bad for the people who are going as soon as it opens, because of the crowds they are anticipating. He said he was glad he got to see it at the previews because he really got to poke around and see everything when it was relatively empty.
