Alternative to bleach for cleaning?

I’ve always used Clorox foaming bleach cleaner to clean my bathrooms as I find that it’s effective in getting rid of mold and mildew. However now it seems whenever I use it, I get a sore throat and sick afterward. Any other alternatives that you use that aren’t as harsh on the body but actually work?

Yes, hydrogen peroxide.
Clorox makes a cleaner with it I believe. i have to look it up
It cleans just as effectively with no fumes.

It's actually Lysol.

I use rubbing alcohol. It's cheap, and a great disinfectant. Most of the times, I dilute it in a spray bottle, about 50/50- but I have used it straight.

OMG the smell of rubbing alcohol would KILL me.
I shudder when I get a whiff of that!

I kind of do too.
Like we were away recently and we'd come back to the room after housekeeping cleaned and it always had a faint smell of bleach and i was like ahhh- she did a good job!
But when i'm actually cleaning with it, in a small enclosed space- I feel like I'm going to die.

I like the bleach smell but, also have been using Baking Soda and Vinegar to clean a lot of things and they are amazing.

I make my own concoction of baking soda, white vinegar, borax and castile soap. It disinfects and cleans really well.

Clorox makes one too you were right! I use it all the time because it’s safe around pets
It’s called Clorox Anywhere
Same exact concept as the Lysol
Works really well too :)

I have had Clorox Anywhre and used to use it in my kitchen but I don't think it's the same- because i doesn't use hydrogen peroxide.
It uses actual bleach but in a much lower concentration so it doesn't have the fumes and it's safe around pets, etc:

The concentration of sodium hypochlorite (bleach) in Clorox Anywhere Hard Surface™ daily sanitizing spray is 0.0095%. The result is a product that is gentle as water, but strong enough to kill 99.9% of common household bacteria on hard, nonporous surfaces.
