TSA Pre-check/ walk in vs appt
Has anyone done the TSA Pre-check process and walked in vs getting an appointment? I wanted to go to a fingerprinting center this Saturday but they didn't have any available appointments, only a walk-in option. Just was curious if anyone has walked in and actually has been seen.

Id wait for an appointment. You are in and out with one. I imagine the wait is much longer bc anyone else takes precedent.

Appointment is easier and quicker.
Those fingerprint places do other jobs besides that for the TSA.

We've had pre-check for several years already, but when I went there was a man sitting there for 2 hours already - he was a walk-in and they take all the appointments first. The only way I would do a walk in is maybe get there a few minutes before they open.
Other than that, I'd wait for an appointment.

The last three times I've flown tsa pre check had longer lines than the regular line.

Really? That's terrible. My main reason for doing this is to avoid the Orlando Airport TSA line at all costs. Last time we flew through there it was a nightmare.

Really? That's terrible. My main reason for doing this is to avoid the Orlando Airport TSA line at all costs. Last time we flew through there it was a nightmare.
We've never had that issue - PreCheck was worth every penny.

TSA Pre-check/ walk in vs appt
I hate when they mix the tsa-pre and regular checkpoints at smaller airports. Confuses everyone the whole time.
But I love the TSA-Pre. Anything so I dont have to go thru that high tech spinning metal detector that picks up my loose skin as a threat.

We fly all the time, and the pre-check line has never been longer than the regular. That's extremely weird. Also, pre you don't take off your shoes, etc. It's great. It's a dream at Orlando!

The precheck line isn't as bad as the regular line but, it's longer than other precheck lines.
