Dont have answer, but as somebody who has been dealing with breast cancer, you know your body best....if you havent had a recent mamo and sono, better safe than sorry and go get one.

I’m 38 so I’ve never had one.

I would look into getting one. My dr recommended I get one at 35 for my baseline.

Trust your gut and get a second opinion. It could be nothing, but it could be something. I had a baseline mammo done at 35.

Yeah -- I hadnt had one at the time I was diagnosed-- I was 39. Lucky me, first one (after finding a lump) and I got diagnosed. 40 is such an arbitrary age I feel like. Since my diagnosis I hear about so many women younger than 40 who are diagnosed.
Anyway, I'm sure its likely to be nothing, but if you notice a difference in your own body, I would push for a screening for your own peace of mind. I was stage 3 at time of diagnosis -- wish I had found it earlier.

They only recently changed the recommendation to 40. I'm 39 and had my baseline 4 years ago at 35. I go every year. Get an RX from your gyno and go.

You don't even need an RX, you can just get a mammo in NY State without a co-pay or a prescription. I go to PUR at the Mall, and they are great and very thorough. They did the mammo and sono (I have dense breasts) all in the same visit. They are through Medical Arts Radiology.
I would go only because it's a sudden change. My breast are not the same size, and the tech did ask me if they have always been that way (they have), and said if it was a new change, that would be a flag. Good luck!
