Bridal Shower Venues
My little sister is getting married in June. She has “visions” for her bridal shower, but my parents’ budget does not match her visions - lol.
Does anyone have any recommendations for a bridal shower venue that would be under $40pp with modern decor?
My other sister is trying to find a place, but so far has not been successful. Ideally the venue would be close to Levittown (central/eastern Nassau).
TIA

Iavarone just opened a new restaurant in Plainview. Decor is modern and nice.
I don’t live too far from Levittown and honestly can’t think of any modern restaurants in the area. Sufiya Grill on Merrick road is pretty but not sure I’d call it modern. Something new opened where Sage Bistro was on Merrick road. I haven’t been but it looks pretty modern from the outside.

Re: Bridal Shower Venues
I don’t know about modern decor but we had my shower (and been to a few) at the coral house. There are a lot of different rooms. Mine was in the colonial skylight room and was moe Victorian tearoom feel but they have other rooms that are more modern looking.
The price was about what you are looking for
Worth a call
ETA:
Revel
Revel may be what she’d like ... pkgs at $48 Maybe can work something out with them to make it a little more affordable. Decor is right on track

My sister, SIL and I are the bridal party. I love my sister, but her wedding is already costing us a small fortune as she has expensive taste. My other sister has suggested numerous places that are very nice with great food, but they don’t have “the look” my sister wants.
My bridal shower was in my neighbors’ backyard. It’s what my parents could afford at the time. Now, they can afford more, but the places she likes are very expensive or have high minimums.

I was going to suggest Revel too. Just went to a shower there and it was great. Food was excellent.

I’ve been to and had a few parties at Jack Dugans pub in floral park. You get the whole upstairs, the food is great and really reasonable. Having the private space is excellent for these types of parties

we've done showers at the stewart manor country club, the bar association in GC by lord and taylor (owned by the stewart manor country club), and the garden city casino... all are around 40-50 for a brunch including mimosas and bloody marys. Since i read you have a big family, might be nice to look into somehwere like this. It was nice to have a huge open room instead of just a restaurant party room. More spacious and easier to move around

I have a big immediate family, but my extended family seems to be getting smaller and smaller as we get older because they just don't come to things anymore. We are looking at probably 35-50 people and many places have a 50 person minimum.

In that case... I would, nicely of course, remind her that you didn't get to choose your bridal shower location and yours was in a backyard and not even in a nice restaurant. Remind her the location doesn't matter, you'll have your wedding photographs to look at soon. Tell her it's about some good food and enjoying all the gifts and well wishes she will be receiving. I know you are just trying to do right for your sister but it sounds like you have a bridezilla and you shouldn't enable her.

There's a facebook group...I want to say Tri-State Restaurant Club or some other Long Island restaurant group and if you go on that and type bridal shower in the search, you will get a million posts. Maybe that can give you some other suggestions.
What about: Salt in Merrick Villa D' Aqua in Bellmore Trento in Farmingdale Bar Louis in Massapequa Harley's in Farmingdale

Yes. It always amazes me what people worry about. You are lucky to be even having a shower. And now, almost 20 years later, I don't even remember my bridal shower to be honest. And NOBODY remembers a shower that isn't there own either. So it doesn't matter where you have it. It really is so so insignificant in the scheme of life.

I know this. I have been married for over 12 years. I’ve tried to explain this as has my other sister.
No one even likes showers or remembers the details. We just had a baby shower for my sister in law and my sister said, was my engagement party this boring? Yes - lol and your bridal shower will be more of the same.

Bridal Shower Venues
Garden Social in East Meadow. There's a modern party room in the back, with an option for outdoor seating, too. This is what she may be looking for and the price is definitely right. We loved the food!
Don't let the website throw you. They have really nice packages. I was impressed. It was my Goddaughter's Christening.

ITA, except I would not so nicely tell her if that's what she wants to pay for it herself. But I'm not a nice person. The sense of entitlement always amazes me. If you can afford it, you should do whatever you want no matter how stupidly extravagant. But when you can't afford it or are using someone else's money, you don't. We should go back to the days of showers in backyards.
