anyone trying?

Hi all,

Is anyone currently trying and in the middle of any IVF cycle?? Also has anyone done a day 6 blast FET and it work? I have heard that day 6 embryos usually don't take because they needed another day to grow and were "slower". Just needed some advice and good thoughts my way.

I feel like this board used to have a lot of posters. All the ladies on here are so supportive! We need that again. Chat Icon

Hiiiii! My 16 month old girl is a day 6 FET! She is awesome - funny and smart! I'm not trying for another yet but I do have another day 6 frozen that I will be transferring later next summer. When is your FET?

Hi,
Best of luck to you. I have tried over the years to get the board going like it used to but no luck. Seems like a lot of people are more into facebook groups these days.

I'm currently done cycling and my family is complete. It was a long road.

Day 5 and 6 are considered the same. Day 7 has less of a chance. It could matter if your day 6 is graded good, fair, or poor. However I've seen poor embryos make babies.

Not up to IVF yet but I started seeing an RE for secondary infertility. I had my HSG last week. Hoping for the best this cycle. If not, I’ll move on to an IUI in the new year. So far, the RE put me on synthroid for sub clinical hypothyroidism. They’d like to see my numbers lower for fertility. They were 3.9 in August. I know I should have followed up sooner but my mom was sick and then passed in October and my life was a little hectic and fertility wasn’t my main focus. Now that life is started to quiet down a bit, I’m back to focusing on TTC. That’s why I just did the HSG even though I started with the RE in August.

Re: anyone trying?

Hey!
I have heard the opposite lately. I heard day 3 embryos are less successful after thawing for FET and many prefer 6 day bc they are stronger and more developed. Day 3 are better for immediate transfer.
We are trying again after our 18 week loss in July so if you need to talk or vent, message me! I’m not quite venturing into IVF just yet but I’ll let ya know.

Delivering my IVF son in less than 2 weeks! What a journey it has been! No one really knows and understands the journey unless they’ve been through it. Modern science and medicine is amazing, I’m so thankful

Edited to add: he was a 5 day FET

its been a while but I thought RE once preferred 3 days blasts but many RE seem to like 5/6 day blast for fresh from what I remember. It give the embryo more time to divide.

I am trying (again). I have a 2 year old DD who was conceived via a FET with day 5 blasts. I am currently naturally trying. Guess I was hoping to not have to do IVF all over again. But I do have 1 last embryo left (day 5 blast). I haven't started a cycle yet.

Best of luck!
