Find my Iphone for Androids?
I sometimes use Find my Iphone with my kids. I have a daughter away at college and I'll often check it in the morning if shes been to a party the night before to make sure she gets home okay. It's really just for my peace of mind.
However, my son just started driving and he has recently switched to an android. Is there a Find my Android type way of checking to make sure he gets to his destinations? I know I could do Life360, but I don't think they'd agree to it (and yes, I know they shouldn't have a choice). I'm a little OCD and they don't understand my worry. I don't need or want to track his every moment.

Re: Find my Iphone for Androids?
I think there is something called find my mobile. I know this because this morning there was a glitch and all android users got some weird push message from the app. I had no idea I even had this app and got nervous I was hacked so I was looking into what it was.
It's used if you loose your phone, it gets stolen etc. You would have to have access to his Samsung account. I think you can also look via his google account- if his location services are on, you can find the phone via google maps
You can check this out for some ideas 3 ways to locate a samsung phone

Find my Iphone for Androids?
Thank you. Its funny, my son text me this morning and asked me if I was tracking him because he got that notification. That got me wondering if I could, lol.
Thank you for the link! I did try all three of the suggested ways. The first said my carrier doesn't support it, the second said it could not locate him, and the third was an app that has to be on his phone too.
So far, no luck. I may just have to deal with it and lose sleep.

I’m not going to speak as an experienced mom of older kids (my oldest is only turning 13), but I think if you pay the bill, it isn’t too much to explain that you need to know he is safe at home at night. I don’t think it’s unreasonable at all...especially if you pay the bills or they live in your home. I don’t have an android so no help with that, but wanted to comment that you are not asking too much, in my opinion.

Agree. Who pays for the phone? Who pays for the car and the insurance? If it's you, you should just insist on a Life 360 or other location sharing app.

That’s pretty much our rule. My kids are 16 and 14.5. I pay the bill, therefore they can’t say no to life360 or any other app I want them to have. My kids are extremely laid back and don’t mind so it’s not an issue, and I love having the ability to see that they’re safely wherever they belong, or on their way home, etc. It also tells me the speed of the vehicle they’re in so I can tell their friends to slow down if necessary.

Re: Find my Iphone for Androids?
You can try android.com/find but I think you need to know the password of the google account that the phone is associated with.
