First World Problems... Friday and/or Corona Virus Edition
Today's episode of my First World Problems:
there is a jerk in maintenance who doesn't like to do his job. i have to be on top of him on everything. he replied to an email i sent with a d!ck reply. now, i have to pen a very well versed email back AND copy his boss. i need this email to perfectly show how he doesn't do his job and how he's putting it all back on me... i'm a fukking secretary!!! i shouldn't be ordering brackets for broken tables, i should be submitting the maintenance request and then watching someone fix it.
grumble, grumble, grumble.
at this moment, i do not have a specific corona virus related first world problem.
what are your first world problems, today?

I went to the supermarket this morning and forgot the dip! Chips with no dip are awfully sad. . .

I always have sour cream in the house because DH uses it in a lot of his recipes Recently I found a box of hidden valley ranch mix in a cabinet that I didn't know I had. Makes a quick easy dip. My go to nightly snack has been ranch dip with mini pretzels. Soooo good!

Re: First World Problems... Friday and/or Corona Virus Edition
Oh can I use this thread to tell a funny (or maybe scary actually) story about mass hysteria?
So my BIL loves to bbq year round and he uses a charcoal grill because he likes that better than gas.
So he was at the hardware store yesterday and he grabbed a big bag of charcoal since he was low and planning on grilling for dinner.
Some woman on the line said to him- "excuse me why are you buying charcoal? Do you know something I don't? Are thy cutting off our power???" Dead serious and panicked. He said he laughed because he was so taken aback by the question and she snapped at him- THIS ISN'T FUNNY. He said, "No, ma'am, I just need it to bbq tonight- i love to grill year round and I have a charcoal grill. I'm really just getting it because I like to bbq."
She looked at him and said- "well I like to bbq too then I guess- and grabbed 2 bags of charcoal and added them to her cart."
Now I guarantee you this woman doesn't even have a charcoal grill and probalby has no idea how to even light those suckers. But she feels good now that she has 2 bags of charcoal in case they "cut the power".
I really just can't. Why would they shut our power off? It's people like that that honestly scare me more than the virus That is going to destroy our society way faster than any virus ever could.

So scary. This is why there is nothing in our stores and people who really need things can't get them. The media has accomplished what they have gone out to do.

I’m dying
Someone saw me grabbing a few packs of pop tarts and said to their partner “oh we should grab pop tarts too”. I was just grabbing a few extra because my son and DH love them but now with DS school closed, they will go faster.
Someone also asked me why i was racking up on lemons and it’s because I started the lemonade cleanse. Like get out of my cart.

First world problem related to Coronavirus:
they closed the gym in my building and I’m so upset. I was holding on to the fact that I could still workout if things shut down. Just when when I started to lose weight and get into a rhythm of exercising.
Having to homeschool my son for the next week maybe even more has put me into serious stress and depression.
Yesterday was such a sucky day.

I agree 10000%
People looked like zombies at the supermarket just putting random things in their cart.

Sucks. Can you stream work outs on you tube or something? Back in the day when I used to actually work out- lol- I used to love Jillian Michaels work outs... cardio and strength all in one 20 min session

Yes I can do online or find something to do at home. It’s just so hard for me and I’m so unmotivated at home. They still haven’t closed my kickboxing school, so holding on to that. I’m just going to have to “suck it buttercup” and start a at home routine.
It’s crazy because my building is old, so it’s a small gym and there is at most 4 people in there at a time. It’s usually myself and one other person in there. Lol.

Agh sorry! I feel you. Having DS home is difficult because I don't get motivated to go to the gym. I want to stay home with him and I don't have enough discipline to workout at home.
As for first world problem, also related to coronavirus, I just got an email from my building that if we order food delivery, they won't send it up to the apartment, we have to go to the front desk to get it... so annoying!

I have a similar issue, threw two big party sized bag of chips in my cart. Go to get the dip at the end and all them were expired 3/11. I was too lazy to put the chips back, so I also have all these chips with no dip.
I also forgot the slice cheese for my cold cuts.

Re: First World Problems... Friday and/or Corona Virus Edition
Somewhat corona related:
DHs job is making them work from home until April. Today was Day 1 and I am already going crazy. If they close schools and both DH and DS are home I said I am moving back in with my parents.
