people are azzholes
please understand that i can give limited info... but
someone called and advised a manager that they cannot come in to work because they tested positive and dr's orders are to stay home for a month.
turns out to have been a TOTAL lie.
never sick
never tested
this is a person who has already had a couple of documented conversations about attendance.
why????
just quit.

it went on for a day and a half.
the person who received the initial call from the employee made it public, instead of following proper protocol. now that person is in trouble for breaking HIPPA.
it's such a mess.
but in the meantime, people have freaked out and had needless worry about their own health.

This person probably hoped they were eligible for the FMLA and get 10-12 weeks paid time off.
