How did you get a refund from Delta and not credit?? We paid so much for our April flights!!!

Hawaiian Airlines actually cancelled our flights before we called to cancel. We had to call them to sort everything out, but since we rebooked for October, they just transferred everything over to the new dates.

I got a credit from Delta for a trip to San Francisco. It was a nonrefundable flight but they are waiving the change & cancellation fees.

The general rule is:
If the airline canceled your flight or changed the schedule by more than a couple of hours (I think the rule is 4 hours), you are entitled to a refund - not a credit.
If you cancel or reschedule your flight, you get a credit.
Most airlines will cancel and give you the credit automatically, but if they cancel your flight, you can call and request the refund.

We booked it through the Disney website. At first they said we had to call Delta for the airfare refund, but then they (Disney) credited the whole thing.

All of our Hawaiian hotels called us to cancel our reservations. They’re all shutdown for the whole month of April.

I actually got an email this morning from the Hyatt Regency in Maui (even though we didn't have a trip booked) that they are closing the hotel until approximately 5/24/2020.
So sad - especially for the employees and a state for Hawaii where so much of their economy depends on tourism

I was attending an event at Disneyland, to arrive on April 30th. They cancelled my reservation. So who knows when they are opening up again.

Just wanted to give my experience. We had a family spring break trip to Phoenix, and I had a girls’ trip to Miami, both in April and both on Delta. Because both of my trips had had itinerary changes of more than 90 minutes, I was eligible for full refunds rather than vouchers.
