High ratings?

I don’t understand how Trump can have such high ratings right now. He’s bungled the Coronavirus crisis so much! And now I’m concerned that his higher ratings will translate to him being re-elected in November (if he doesn’t pull something shady and cancels the election bc of the pandemic).

All presidents get a bump in support when there is a National crisis. 9/11, war, etc. Every other president gets a huge bump, from both parties, just because everyone rallies around the country.
45's bump is very tiny, even though it's much higher than it should be.
If you only watch Fox News, then it sounds like he is doing a phenomenal job. He is currently trying to rewrite his own history, and calling people liars when they directly quote him from weeks or months ago. He says he never said the things he actually said.

People don't approve of "him", they approve of the lies and propaganda image that he is portraying of himself. Unfortunately, the lies and fake image is what got him elected last time....

Sure, I would love to believe that this will magically disappear in April. I would love if this was just a Democratic hoax. I would love it if we only had 15 cases, and it will be down to 0 soon... however, I understand science and facts, so I can't believe any of that...
