how do i cancel an order?

a few weeks ago i got a "back in stock" alert from a couponer i follow on IG saying staples had toilet paper. i bought it knowing that it could be a little bit before it was shipped/delivered. no biggie.

well, since then we've been able to access toilet paper without much issues. just yesterday, SO went to costco and bought a large pack.

i checked my bank account this morning and saw that my bank has the money for the staples purchase on hold. it's not counted as part of my available balance, but it isn't a posted transaction.

i feel i no longer need to have them send me the toilet paper. let someone else buy it.

who do i cancel the order with?
my bank or staples?
i've never cancelled an online order before.
