Cruise again? **Update**
When would you cruise again after all this? I feel like it's scarier to cruise bc of the confinement. We booked a cruise in November and DH and our friends are worried about it. I think it will be okay, but then I keep hearing on the news about a second wave coming in Fall possibly. Ugh!
Update - so we did cancel the trip in November. It's too soon and the thought of cruising now makes me ill. Even if it's Disney. oh well.

Cruise again?
Not a chance I would get on a cruise ship this year - maybe not even next year.

Re: Cruise again?
Not until a vaccine is out, so maybe two years at the earliest. Also my friends August cruises are being cancelled now,

Cruise again?
Not anytime in the next couple of years - at least until there is a vaccine as PP said - and one that has been out for awhile.

Re: Cruise again?
Cruising has always made me uncomfortable in terms of sicknees. All you ever here is nasty stomach bugs running rampant on these boots, respiratory virus outbreaks. I feel like it's too many people in a confined space And don't get me started on buffets.
I feel like i read somewhere that cruises won't be allowed to sail for quite some time though. I have to look for what I saw

Re: Cruise again?
No, I would not. Germs spread easily on cruises so I would be weary of going on one again.

Re: Cruise again?
I wouldn't go on one before all of this, so.....I probably don't have the answer you're looking for.

Re: Cruise again?
We won't cruise again until we can get a vaccine. DH and I were talking and we've decided that we won't be going on any trips this year. Not worth the risk, especially with the possibility of a 2nd wave.

Re: Cruise again?
I like to cruise, and hopefully will again someday, but probably not for quite awhile. We have stayed sometimes in inside cabins, and after seeing the people quarantined in their rooms, I will probably always get a balcony cabin in the future.

Cruise again?
Not anytime soon. I have to find a way to cancel my October cruise since my travel agent is closed.

Re: Cruise again?
I never had a desire to go on one. Just never appealed to me. But an ex was always trying to get me to go. And I probably would have eventually. But I don't see me ever going on one after this.

Re: Cruise again?
Honestly there was always sickness on a cruise and everyone still went. I think it will be a bit before they reopen but people will want to get out and travel.

Cruise again?
I love to cruise. I will cruise again but not until next summer. We canceled 2 for this year. I do think you'll see things differently now, like no more self serve buffets and drink locations.

I remember when they started installing the hand sanitizer stations at every dining area entrance and throughout the ships in response to some sickness outbreaks that were running rampant on cruises at one point. So yeah, they will definitely make some changes for the better. I also think it's going to be a matter of getting people to feel comfortable again- which will probably be after a vaccine or something.

Re: Cruise again?
We had a cruise booked for August 2020, but did not feel comfortable traveling this summer, so we pushed it back to August 2021.
In general, I'm not worried about being on a cruise ship. However, until there's a vaccine, I'd prefer not to travel with thousands of other people.

Re: Cruise again?
I will go on a cruise again, maybe next year though. I always bring hydrogen peroxide wipes and alcohol wipes on a cruise though, and we are diligent about washing hands and not touching our eyes/nose/mouth. We have been on 7, and a couple during flu season, and haven't gotten sick. They are floating petri dishes in general, so I'm a freak about wiping our stuff down all the time while on one.

Re: Cruise again?
We are booked and going April 2021. They plan on sailing (when they can) with procedures in place such as temperature scan when getting on/off the ship, hand washing stations everywhere and sanitizers,No more self serve buffet(they will handle the serving utensils) and so on. People think “the tight spaces...scary” but they are cleaner than your neighborhood park.

Re: Cruise again?
We love cruising so I do feel confident we will return at some point. I don't know when that will be though. When they have a vaccine...maybe. Don't know. I'm not booking any trips though in this uncertain time and trust me when I say that kills me. I live for vacations.

Cruise again?
we have a Disney cruise booked for the first week of november. We are willing to still go... BUT just waiting to hear about any changes they're going to make for "new" cruising, and if it will still be with the Disney $$$$$$ for us HAHA like will they limit the number of beach chairs by the pool so that we won't be able to find a spot to sit? Will they limit how many people can watch the show at night so that we have to line up super early if we want to see it? will they space out dining times and add more dining seatings at weird times, so that we would end up eating super early or super late? will they limit how many kids in the kid's club, so my boys won' t be able to go? Its all stuff to think about that will make it less worth it for us.... we're supposed to make our final payment on july 4th- but, unless we have more info about changes by then, we will probably cancel. i don't want to be stuck with cancellation fees when we find out things are getting taken away and we don't want to go anymore... i would rather cancel ahead of time.... really stinks, because there is nothing i need more right now than a relaxing cruise!!!!

Cruise again?
I'm dying to go, we love cruising, which is weird because I am not a fan of crowds. We were supposed to go on one this August but we cancelled. As mentioned above, I really don't want to go with a bunch of restrictions. And while I don't mind wearing a mask at work and out in public here, I really don't want to wear masks on vacation. We'll definitely wait for the virus to die down and for things to get much more back to normal before cruising.

Re: Cruise again?
I just looked at prices for next year as I want them to work out the kinks too and have less restrictions.
