Tipping question
I am having a big tree cut back this morning (it’s my neighbor’s tree that hangs over my property). There are 4 guys here doing the work (and yes, they came in 4 separate vehicles and are all wearing masks). Do I tip them? If so, how much? (It is a really big job - they are cutting it back to the main trunk of the tree, not just to the property line).
Thanks!

Tipping question
I'll answer because no one ever answers these questions. We've had trees cut down and I didn't even think to tip them. I normally tip people who fix appliances in the house or deliver large furniture. I don't normally tip landscapers and that sort of thing.

Re: Tipping question
$10 each would be appreciated. Enough to cover lunch for the day.

We didn't tip when we got our trees cut down this year.

Re: Tipping question
I usually tip anyone and everyone that does work at my house, but I really haven't tipped any of the landscaping people (including tree guys that spent almost an entire day here). Part of it is because I feel weird about getting into their personal space to hand it to them. I'm so awkward about tipping as it is, and now you have no idea how people are going to react if you get too close to them. Another part of it is, I'm stuck inside with young kids all day and they are a handful. By the time I realized the workers were done with the job, they were gone. Under normal circumstances, I would tip.

you paid for the work to be done, no need to tip. Landscaping is $$
