Anyone put patches on the inside of jeans?

My jeans are starting to tear - its not a hole, well its a hole but you don't see my skin, you see the white threads. (I hope I'm explaining it correctly)

Its on a few different jeans, on the thighs.

I bought some patches from Walmart a while back but never used it. I was thinking of putting the patch on the inside so you don't see it but it (I hope) will hold the hole in place so it doesn't get bigger.

But would I feel the patch on my legs since its on the inside?

My husband has done it twice. He has this one pair of jeans he loves that they don't make anymore so he's been trying to salvage them
He said the patch doesn't bother him while wearing the jeans

I have done this with one pair of jeans. You do not feel the patch.
