RAVE about Dr. Pillitteri
Seriously... I feel that he was a Godsend for us.
My previous ob/gyn was too far from the house - and honestly, I didn't feel the love there - so I asked YOU all who you loved. When I got a bunch of Dr. Pillitteri responses, I tried him out and I feel like it was meant to be. I LOVE HIM. But even more than his wonderful personality, willingness to answer any of my questions any hour I call and knowledge was this:
From the second he met me, he put me on baby aspirin AND Metanx (which has extra folic acid). I didn't even know what it was, but I trusted him and went with it. I don't know if he started me on that because I told him about my PCOS background, but thank God he did. That was at about 4 weeks (which is another thing I like about him... that he takes you as SOON as you suspect pregnancy). All of his knowledge blew me and my DH away.
Fast forward to where I am now - at 17 weeks - I find out that I tested 50% positive for thrombophilia, which means one of my parents passed that gene onto me. I see a PeriNatologist (Dr. Kofinas) every 2 weeks AND it turns out that the baby aspirin is working wonders for me (knock on wood), so I THANK GOD and Dr. Pillitteri that he put me on it from almost day 1. I also found out that this also affects my body's ability - or my baby's ability - to absorb folic acid. WELL... thank GOD I've been taking that Metanx which triples my folic acid intake!!!
So, I just felt the need to share my situation and feelings about my doctor. I shutter to think what could have been if I wasn't put on those extra medications. THANK YOU DR. PILLITTERI!!! Baby thanks you, too!!!

I love that man. I seriously get giddy the day I'm seeing him because it just makes me so happy to have such a competent and caring doctor taking care of me and the baby. He put me on the baby aspirin and Metanx as well for the PCOS and a slight MTHFR gene mutation. I went through fertility testing and they didn't catch that, but he knew I needed the thrombophilia testing right away. He treats everyone as if they're high risk and truly cares. Even when I landed in L&D at 17 weeks I wasn't worried because I knew I was in his hands and he would do whatever it took to make sure everything was alright. He's an amazing doctor and human being. LOVE HIM!

Re: RAVE about Dr. Pillitteri
I see Dr. Pillitteri and Dr. Kofinas also. I have been a MESS about this pregnancy because of all my IF issues and previous losses and I really feel taken care of with my "team" of doctors. It is a good feeling to have confidence in your doctors.
We are in really good hands!
