Going to the neurologist on Thursday for my numb hands...
It started with the right (I actually have very little feeling in the tips of my fingers) and now it seems to be starting in the left. So...while I'm there...anyone have any questions they want me to ask?

Ask for thier opinion on cortisone shots during PG and if they work..
Thats where Im at now.
I did the neurologist before getting PG and did the nerve tests to show severe carpal tunnel.
Now my hands are numb 15-16 hours a day and Im having trouble driving. I wont make another 22-20 weeks of this.
My nuero sent me to a hand surgeon....
Im getting mixed opinions on whether cortisone helps. Some say yes, some say no..all said its ok during PG..
Lets see what yours says
GOOD LUCK!!!

Since I was suppose to get CT surgery in November, and couldn't because I was pregnant I asked my OB about getting cortisone shots and the Dr told me he wouldnt recommend it because its putting a steriod into the body.
My hands are really bad. I sleep with two braces. I am holding off on getting the shots unless I really can not deal anymore. however, the braces have worked quite a bit.

Right now I have horrible pain even with the braces. I know I wont make it much longer and I need to work. ( on a computer)....
The hand surgeon I saw said cortisone is not a steroid. Its cortisol only. Thats why it doesnt always work. ( Im confused though now based on what you said)
He said that some Drs have steroid injections that work better , he said its OK during PG As women with Severe Asthma , Lupus etc have to take them while PG as well, But like you I was unsure....
I get so many different answers...
