Would you ever..
Leave your children sleeping in a hotel room while you and your husband went out to a restaurant across the street for dinner???
There is a tragic story in the news here about a young family on holiday in the Algarve (Portugal) the parents are both doctors, the father is a heart surgeon. They were staying in a posh resort, they went out to dinner leaving their children asleep in the hotel room, they could see the room from the restaurant...and when they went back after dinner, their 3 year old daughter had been abducted. While my heart is breaking for them...I can't help but think...what on earth were they thinking!!! Leaving your 3 young children alone in a hotel room! Its so sad!!!

While no one deserves for this to happen to them, especially that poor liitle child, I 110% agree, what the h@ll were they thinking!??? They're educated people and should have known better. Are the police charging them with neglect?

OMG, NEVER. There are sooooooooo many reasons why I wouldn't. For god's sake, if the place was that "posh" why didn't they hire a ****** babysitter through the hotel???!

OMG! NO! And I consider myself a very laid back mother, but that is absurd! I've left Molly in her carseat while sleeping in the garage, but pulled up a lawn chair and read a book while sitting in the garage. That's about as far as I would go!

Just last week they both fell asleep in the car so I pulled through Burger King and sat in the driveway and read a book and had lunch while they napped.
I feel awful for those parents, but agree with you, for such educated people it wasn't such a smart decision.
