Re: Going to the doctor - UPDATED I HATE DOCTORS!!
Wel...I left work. I just couldn't take it there today. I told my boss there were some things I needed to take care of at home and I was sorry.
I called around and got an appointment for Tuesday (my birthday) at 9:50 am with another OBGYN.
Not exactly how I wanted to spend the morning of my 30th birthday, but better than June 20th.
Thanks again for all your support and hugs. They really really helped.

I hope you are feeling better soon !

How awful what they did to you. I work for a doctor and would never do that to anyone! I would just show up at the office. hugs to you! and if not find a new doctor.

Re: Going to the doctor - UPDATED AT BOTTOM WITH DOCTOR INFO
UPDATE:
Went to my new doctor this morning he asked me some questions - how long have we been trying (8 months) how long are my periods (51-65 days) and have I had irregulars all my life (yes except when on the pill).
Then he said, "Are you keeping track if you ovulate or not?" I said yes and he asked how.
So I told him BBT and that I was also charting CM and using OPKs and he said "Good - but you don't have to take your temp anymore - the BBT method is old and outdated and there are much better and less tedious ways to chart than that. I recommend OPKs and/or fertility monitors - after a couple months of using them you know if you have and issue or not but it can take years with BBT and CM to tell for sure."
He did a pap just to check everything out and sent me for blood work.
He said that it sounds like I'm not ovulating.
So he ordered a sonogram for me and a semen analysis on DH to cover all bases and told me that if all that comes back okay he's putting me on Clomid and then monitoring my progress. He was pretty confident that this is fixable and treatable and we would be pregnant soon.
So I am cautiously optimistic that things are going to turn out okay!!
Felicia, and my other fellow irregular girls, I would definitely make some time with your OBGYN to get some insight into the issues!!

Re: Going to the doctor - UPDATED AT BOTTOM WITH DOCTOR INFO
Lauren I am glad you got a thorough exam and evaluation and that the doctor could answer some of your questions, and that he seems confident that this 'problem' with our wacky cycles is 'fixable'
It looks you are getting all the right testing done and that hopefully with Clomid you will begin ovulating more regularly and your chances of conceiving will get a lot easier month to month
So happy to hear it was generally a good appointment and that you are feeeling more positive about things!
(do you still have that strange pain you described last week, or has that allevaited? what did the GYNO say about that?)

Sorry, should have mentioned, the pain is still there and that's what the sonogram is for. He thinks I do have a cyst.
In fact, given some of my general issues and history, he thinks I may have PCOS. But the sono will say for sure.

Re: Going to the doctor - UPDATED AT BOTTOM WITH DOCTOR INFO
Thank GOODNESS you found a new doctor. What a WORLD of difference b/t the two. Sounds like this doctor really took the time out of his day to explain things to you and get to the bottom of what was going on. Best of luck to you on your U/S!

Re: Going to the doctor - UPDATED AT BOTTOM WITH DOCTOR INFO
Well I am glad you went to a different doctor and he sounds way better! The Clomid may be just the thing for you. My Dr. said I have PCOS also, he claims it's way more abundant than people think. I wish you lots of luck with this new Dr. and lots and lots of Baby Dust!!!!!
