Matching Gear?

Are you matching your Travel system/stroller to your Pack & Play, and any other coordinating items?

If so, which pattern did you go with and what retailer?

Re: Matching Gear?

no, i didn't feel like everything had to match. you probably won't be using most things together anyway. instead, i went more by reviews on what was the best product (bru website, baby bargains)

We went with Graco
Vienna travel system & Counting sheep pack n' play. I liked that they matched. Chat Icon

I liked that set alot. However, I am one for coordinating everything. I feel like that sheep would look stupid with the safari/jungle theme.

I love this set and I think we are going to go with it...well 905 sure...hubby is a little stuck on the sheep and think maybe they look like lambs and lambs are girlish.

We are having a Chat Icon and chose this because:
1 - I love it and thought it was very cute
2 - I figure if we have a Chat Icon next time it is unisex.

I did and it was so stupid!!! I ended up returning my swing that matched my carseat and pack n play.
I do not like my travel system and if I hadn't used to infant seat so much I would return that too.
I definitely would not match things if I had to do it over again. Being a BTDT mom it's just silly IMO.

Re: Matching Gear?

We wanted something we could use if we have a boy next. The only things we registered for that match are the car seat, stroller and pack n play. Its the Graco Sand Dollar pattern.

Blue is my fav color so I dont mind using the blue stuff for our daughter.

Re: Matching Gear?

I only coordinated our infant car seat and the universal stroller base, since they're used together. Nothing else is in the same pattern.

Re: Matching Gear?

Nope, I see no need to match all that stuff. It's not like I'm going to be displaying it all together.

Re: Matching Gear?

At first I was obsessing over having things match but the patterns they had available in matching colors I wasn't so crazy about. Right now we have a travel system by graco that is a blue/green/yellow plaid and then a lot of stuff that is by FP Aquarium. So our travel swing, bouncer, and high chair all match. Once you have the baby and you've been doing it for a while you'll probably realize that matching doesn't matter as much as functionality.

Re: Matching Gear?

The only thing that matches is the infant seat and the stroller since I got a Travel System. My pack N play is Graco Colby pattern and my swing is the FP Aquarium swing.

i tried, but have not been successful...

i decided to not go with the travel system so my infant seat and stroller frame will not match my pack 'n play, but i've gotten over it (it was hard Chat Icon )

Re: Matching Gear?

We didn't feel that everything had to match, but we ended up with the stroller, car seat and pack n play matching each other. We got the Graco in Windsor. It's not a travel system per se, but the car seat does insert into the stroller. The swing is a different manufacturer entirely. We chose the baby papasan swing.
