Restaurant near Smithtown
8 couples are going to dinner on a Saturday night. Looking for a place where we can have good (not too expensive) food and catch up. Any recs?

I would say the Old Dock Inn in Kings Park. very reasonable seafood and you can almost always get a table, especially at this time of year.

16 people.... how about La Famiglia? Call ahead.
Or maybe Mexican? The place on Main street is great - La Panchita. Inexpensive and great sangria.
Butera's is good italian too, but more $.
I hate the Old Dock Inn - I feel like it's pre-packaged Costco food that they heat and charge exorbitant amounts of money for.

Old street pub in an ole fav of mine....but if you are looking for something exciting take a look at butterfields ...it might be a lil expensive but the food is great.

Skip Old dock the place is disgusting now. it used to be great but it is so horrible now!

H20
the garden grill-make a reservation
theres also the Grill room in hauppauge we
 that place!! its on adams ave
eta: sweet waters in hauppauge

Union Station...It's yummy. If you sit in the bar area, you can also order off their pub menu. The calamari app is so good!!!!

nope, that was my rehearsal.
My shower was at Ciro's in Kings Park - that's a good option too!

nope, that was my rehearsal.
My shower was at Ciro's in Kings Park - that's a good option too!
my rehersal dinner was there to! but they completly screwed up! thats why i didn't reccomend them!

H20 is good but I think grossly overpriced.

I agree with the PP who suggested the Old Street Pub - good food and not too $$. There is also Casa Luis on Jericho that is Spainish food - paella's and the like and really great drinks. Lotus East in St. James is awesome Chinese and JT's Corner Cafe on Smithtown Blvsd. has been a solid go to (they are BYOB though).
