1 year olds- what do you bathe them in?
we've still been using the whale tub. I was thinking of getting one of those rings for the tub, but it says up to 16 months and 28lbs. DD is already 23lb 5 oz... so i dont want to buy one if it will only be used for a few months at most.
We also have that blow up ducky pool in a closet around here somewhere lol It seems like that might be bigger?
What are other moms using/doing?

he mostly showers now, though.

We've been showering (in the master bathroom) mostly for the summer (since I'm usually a sweaty mess at the end of the day anyway!  ).
We can't use the tub in the main bathroom right now because of some wonky plumbing problem so it's worked out. She still "fits" in the infant tub but having it on the kitchen counter now that she wants to stand or splash a lot is a pain so hopefully we'll get the regular tub situation squared away. If it does not, I was hoping to get the biggest blow up tub and use it in the shower which is a walk in (no door, just a shower curtain).

DS has been in the regular tub, no ring, since 9 months
ETA: He showers now sometimes and has learned to love it!

We got a tub mat (elmo) and thats it, my dd has been in thr bathtub since she was about 7/8 months old. And no problem, mat keeps her from slipping.

I wish i could shower her, but for some reason, our water gets SO hot at times and i need to constantly adjust it... i'm too worried about it burning her

if that's the case, i totally agree with you and i wouldn't risk it.
hey, our ped told us to lower to hot water heater temp to 120 degrees once the baby became mobile. he said he sees several cases each year where the child turns on the faucet/tub/etc and burns himself.

we had the duck tub - but em's long - so we got the blow up tub that has ducks on it....we got it at BRU..
this one - but ours has ducks on it...

Just in the regular tub. We've got a tub mat and he sits (or stands!  ) no problem.

Once DS could sit up well unassisted (7 months) we ditched the baby tub and just sat him in the bath tub.

i would LOVE to do this - but em's wriggly....she likes standing and walking and moving and playing...even in her tub that i posted above, she tries to get out of it and is CONSTANTLY standing in it...so it makes me nervous...

I had that inflatable tub (snugtub?) thing until the cat jumped in and deflated it Now I just put him in the regular tub. He is constantly moving around and standing though, so no advice there.

Sorry to hijack your post 
If you use the ducky blow-up tub, do you put that inside your regular bathtub?
My DS loves splashing his arms and legs and makes a mess. He gets a bath outside on nice days but fall is around the corner and I'm worried about my floor being soaking wet.

The kitchen sink.  My 2 and a half year old is still bathed in there. I plan on keeping them in there as long as possible!

Yes. It fits right into our (normal size) bath tub.

We still use the bath ring at a year. I'm sure we COULD be fine without it, but I'm not comfortable with her just in the tub with nothing else.

The kitchen sink. My 2 and a half year old is still bathed in there. I plan on keeping them in there as long as possible!
I wish we could do this!! But we have a very deep, undermount sink with granite counters and I am just too afraid!
