White Clam Sauce

Simple, fast and delicious linguine and white clam sauce!
Ingredients
- 1 large red onion, chopped
- 1 Tbsp dried parsley
- 1 tsp dried oregano
- 1 tsp ground basil
- 1 tsp table salt
- 1/2 cup clam juice
- 1/2 tsp black pepper
- 2 cans, minced or chopped clams
- 2 Tbsp butter or reduced fat margarine-like spread or olive oil
- 4 Tbsp minced garlic
Instructions
Mix salt, pepper and onions with 1 tablespoon olive oil in microwave safe bowl with cover. Nuke for 5 minutes, until soft.
In small sauce pan, add the rest of your butter or olive oil along with your partially softened onions. Add garlic and saute for few minutes. Add spices, mix well.
Add clam juice and clams with juice and simmer for 20 minutes.
Serve over hot pasta.
NOTE: Rule of thumb, about 1 can of clams per 2 people.
Serve With
Linguine or your favorite pasta
