Did you use these Benjamin Moore colors?

Picking paint colors for each room is so hard!! Last night we finally sat down and actually picked some colors for each room (some definites are in Bold).

Has anyone used these BM colors? I'd love to see pics if you have.

Nantucket Gray
Sussex Green
Crisp Khaki
Oak Ridge
Adagio
Lenox Tan
Shaker Beige

Yarmouth Blue
Stonington Gray
Olive Branch

Re: Did you use these Benjamin Moore colors?

We used Lenox Tan in our LR. We did Georgian Brick for the accent and Philadelphia Cream in the dinette. We did White Dove for the ceiling and moldings.

We used Nantucket Gray in our TV room. It's more of a green/gray.

Re: Did you use these Benjamin Moore colors?

I have Yarmouth Blue in my bathroom - it is a beautiful color. I was going to do my bedroom the same color but I thought it was too much blue (my boys' room is blue too) I dont have any pics to post but it is a great color.

Thanks for posting pics! Nantucket gray is my favorite, I love how it looks in your tv room.

The Lenox tan looks great with the white moldings.

Re: Did you use these Benjamin Moore colors?

I only used Adagio Chat Icon on your list...but I love Yarmouth Blue, Nantucket Gray and Stonington Gray. I almost used Nantucket Gray in our study but went with Copley Gray...it's grayer and a bit darker.

Re: Did you use these Benjamin Moore colors?

Thanks Julz... that's a great color! I think these pics are making my decisions even harder. lol

Colleen, I got the strip that has copley gray on it too... but wanted a gray that has more of a "color" to it. Nantucket seems to have a greenish tint to it.

Copley is definitely greenish - more Army green? It's darker though than Nantucket...

Right? It definitely changes color depending on the lighting...brighter artificial light will make it look greyer. Plus all colors look darker than the strip, once on the walls - the larger space, etc.

Hmm... now i'm second guessing the nantucket gray for our LR/DR. It gets TONS of natural light and i'm worried the color is too light now...

Re: Did you use these Benjamin Moore colors?

I would get a couple of testers and paint some 2x2 patches on various spots on the walls. Areas that see different light at different times. I believe Nantucket is one of the testers...

ETA: better yet, paint the patches on some sheetrock - or some white board - and hold them up in the various spots. That way you won't have to worry about covering/sanding the patches.

Chat Icon good question!! I'm definitely loving all the lighter shades for the front room.....problem is, my hubby has been upstate since Sunday, he'll be home tomorrow so then I can ask him what he thinks. I like any of the bottom 3, but I have a feeling he'll like one of the darker ones at the top.

what's funny is I prematurely bought 2 different sets of curtains for the front room, so I want to make sure the wall color goes w/ the curtains. one set is a satiny chocolate brown, the other is a goldish color w/ brown embroidery. So I don't want the color too dark b/c then it will be competitive w/ the brown curtains. maybe when DH is home I'll ask him to hold up the curtain next to the samples on the wall and I can take a pic and post it for opinions. wow I'm bringing indecisive to a whole new level!! Chat Icon I think I'm too tired from work to make decisions!!! Chat Icon

Definitely post pics with the curtains... we'll help you decide. Chat Icon I never imagined picking paint would be this hard! I think I need to pick up some of those samples tomorrow.

We used Yarmouth Blue in our bedroom in our old apartment.

I loved the color. I would definitely use it for a bathroom or bedroom again.
