OK, a "beard" is a disguise right? So, when someone, let's say a famous man wants to hide the fact that he is gay, he will marry a woman who is maybe not the prettiest woman because the understanding is that he has S e x with men and not with her.

they've been married since 95 and have 2 kids. She is actually an actress herself. I think she has just gained weight in the last 2 years.
Ohhh. OK. He is just such a hottie and that is a very bad pic of her.

actually, I don't feel this way either.
I think on both sides, it's not the "norm" in Hollywood, but a heavy famous MAN is far more likely to have a lesser known or not famous "good looking" partner (even though I hate to phrase it that way since heavy or thin and good looking are not mutually in/exclusive) than it is to have a famous MAN that is considered "good looking" with a woman who is heavy.
MY surprise at least, was more on the "idea' than of what she actually looks like.
though it does go to show, we always lament and say how if we had the money we'd get a nutritionist/personal trainer....clearly there is more to it than that.
