Our little bundle of joy decided to arrive 3 weeks early!
Hi Everyone!
As kmac and spf0701 posted our little  arrived three weeks early on April 20th at 6:17am by unexpected c-section. I gave birth at South Nassau and I have nothing but wonderful things to say about this hospital (if you have any questions please feel free to FM).
I went for my first internal on the 17th and was told I had no progress and it would be some time before the baby's arrival. My DH and I decided to take a day trip on the 19th to Foxwoods and little did we know that our little one would be arriving only 24 hours after we left our house to catch the ferry.
We were waiting for our car from valet when my water broke and actually took the ferry across the sound. 5 hours after my water broke I was laying in the L&D room at South Nassau and after 12 1/2 hours of labor that wasn't too bad it was determined that our little angel was breeched and would have to come out via c-section. I was not happy about it but the nurses and drs at south nassau discussed it with me and I realized it was my only option.
Elena Grace was born shortly after weighing 6lbs 9 ozs and measuring it at 20 inches.
We are doing well and are glad to be home! Image Attachment(s):
