Most of us, including us “morning people” can tend to feel a little sluggish in the a.m. And, most of us look to our steaming cupping of Joe to give us the jolt we need to get our day under way. In fact, it’s likely that most of us also grab our morning meal, such as a doughnut (to go with our coffee), if anything at all, on the go. And, that according to nutrition experts may be our problem.
Getting off to a good start, means starting the day with a good, healthy breakfast, one that also gives us a boost.
They suggest kick-starting you day with eggs and/or yogurt, two tasty morning “meals” that give you an extra dose of tyrosine, an essential building-block that send wake up signals to your brain.
Tyrosine bolsters dopamine and norepinephrine, two brain chemicals that help us think and react more quickly, and help us feel more energetic and motivated.
Other foods containing energy-enhancing tyrosine include almonds, chicken, avocados, bananas and sesame seeds.
