A new way to strengthen, tone, and improve the art of strutting your stuff is nothing to kick your heels up at.
In fact, the same people who taught you how to feel comfortable about taking it (all) off (via cardio striptease) and feeling good about it (and the way you look, naked) are now getting a firm footing on a fitness routine that teachers of all ages, shapes and sizes how to poisefully “pound the pavement”.
The latest craze fittingly referred to as “stiletto strength” (training), is geared toward healing (pun totally intended) women’s aches, pains, and discomfort when wearing high heels. According to experts that problem starts when women substitute stilettos with sneakers and other “fashionable” flats. In fact, it can be just as flat out damaging as ALWAYS wearing heels; as wide, archless shoes and styles, allow our leg muscles to relax, and worn often enough lose the strength to sport stilettos instead of sports shoes.
While for many wearing heels may seem like a virtually impossible feat, experts assert that secret to achieving a comfortable balance is all in the abs. In fact, the stronger your ab muscles, the easier to stomach walking, dancing, and strutting your stuff in high heels. And for powerfully professional women, high heels can make a very powerful and poignant statement.
But, building your comfort level (in heels) means (first) building your strength. And, that’s just what this workout does. It’s kicked off by with strength training exercises conducted in running shoes (sneakers) for the first part of the class and ends with participants slipping into something a little more sultry, but less comfortable for the last 15 minutes.
