Everyone know or has at least heard that women “have their moods”….and pregnant women are no different….in fact, in some cases mood swings may become more prominent or pronounced. But, new research suggests that exposure to certain plastics during pregnancy can actually lead to aggression in baby girls.
The studies suggest that expectant moms exposed to bisphenal A, a common chemical intrinsic to many plastics, tend to give birth to daughters who are more aggressive and exhibit more hyperactive behaviours. And, the results are consistent with other research conducted to reveal the affect of this chemical on (young) female animals.
In addition, bishpenol A has been linked to reproductive problems and diabetes….and was the primary material used for the production of hard, clear, reusable water bottles, baby bottles and resins, used to line the inside of metal food and beverage cans. And, the study revolves around pregnant ladies from their early gestational period up until their children were two years old, revealing that the chemical concentration at the 13 to 16 week stage of gestation was most closely linked with behaviour problems in girls, but with no significant effect on boys. However…its best, since the chemical “does” linger in the bodies of newborns and infants, for moms, dads, and parents to be, to get rid of everything and anything containing this potentially dangerous chemical.
