We all want to be innovative, creative, and inspirational trend-setters, yet, most of us simply follow the trends, and if we’re clever jump on the “band wagon” before everyone else, making it look like we were truly “inspired”.
So, when it comes to haute couture hues for the 2008/2009 season, where exactly are we taking our cues from. Well, it seems they are being infused via a variety of exotic cultures beyond our boundaries.
Whether it’s Mike Myer’ cheeky rendition of Guru Pitka, or the Joli-Pitt’s excursions in, and out of Africa, striking bold and “mysterious” designs are being displayed in everything from housewares to interior accents. Expect to see inspired designs from Morocco, Isanbul, and Tibet, just to name a few. And, look for basics in bold colours, especially in shades of orange. Orange, offer warmth, excitement, energy and an invigorating interior.
