Okay, so you’ve finally taken the “plunge” and committed to taking better care of you and your family, starting with what you eat…at least with what you prepare at home. And, maybe you’ve even invested in some new cookbooks about healthy “nouveau” cuisine. But now you’ve got to get familiar with a whole new glossary of healthy terms, including some common (and accurate) measurements that will help you say goodbye to a pinch of this and a dash of that.
· 3 teaspoon = 1 tablespoon
· 1 ½ teaspoon = ½ tablespoon
· 4 tablespoons = ¼ cup
· 1 cup = ½ pint
· 2 cups = 1 pint
· 4 cups = 1 quart
· 2 pints =1 quart
· 1 cup = 8 fluid ounces
· 32 ounces =1 quart
· 2 quarts = ½ gallons
· 4 quarts =1 gallon
· 1 stick of butter = 8 tablespoons or ½ cup
