If you’re anything like me you maintain your hair on a daily basis; washing, conditioning, gelling, styling, and spraying, only to walk outside and have it either “frizz out” or go flat in a matter of minutes. So, for the most part I’ve resigned myself to accepting that my hair will “never” look sultry and sexy if it’s hot, humid, or wet outside.
Yet, experts assure us that we can lock into flowing locks by simply following some simple suggestions.
Short and Sexy: Short sassy strands can be well groomed simply by investing in the right product. Regardless of texture, etc, experts suggest a bodybuilding gel as an all you need maintenance routine for your hair. Dap a dime-sized amount (of gel) between your palms and apply to scalp starting at the scalp and working your way toward your ends.
Mid-Length Marvelous: Give hair bounce by twisting locks of damp hair into place with fingers. Simply shampoo and rinse, part damp hair in one-inch sections and place a defining product to the areas your intent to twist into place. Allow hair to set for a minimum of ten minutes then comb gently through with your fingers.
Long And Luscious: Experts suggest sporting a sexy summer updo/ponytail for longer locks; and they note there are plenty of styles to choose from.
The Straight And Narrow: Consider a classic Jackie O look by pushing it back with a wide headband. Experts suggest shampooing (with a clarifying shampoo) and drying upside down to add volume and body first, then push back with a two-inch or wider band securing any loose ends with bobby pins or fashion clips.
Curly Girls: Consider investing in some vintage-style hair combs to add a very characteristic look to your hair, plus, they eliminate the need for (much) jewelry. Simply place the comp into full or curly hair, pushing a portion of it behind your ear. For extra thick and curly locks make sure to use a detangling product after shampooing.
