With the new season starting, now is the time to start refreshing your own romance with the season. Fall is in the air, bringing with it a world of colors and crisp, clear weather that beacons you out of doors. Why not take advantage of the beautiful weather and rekindle your romance at the same time? By planning a couple fall-time day dates for you and your sweetheart you’ll give your relationship that breath of fresh air that even the closest bond can use once in awhile.

On a crisp, late September morning, why not take your beau apple picking? One of the most popular fall-time activities, apple picking is a great way to spend a leisurely day outdoors together. With this day date you’ll also reap the benefits of your “picking;” you’ll have all of those fresh apples to bring home with you! When there, remember to ask for some “manly” assistance, carrying all of those apples and picking the fruit just beyond your reach. Once you arrive home with your spoils remember to turn some into homemade baked goods or sauce: you’ll impress your honey and provide lasting evidence of your special day together.

Take advantage of one of the Island’s best assets: go on a private wine tour! Can you think of anything more romantic than cuddling up on a blanket with a good glass of wine, looking over rows upon rows of grapevines? With a little prior reconnaissance, you’ll be able to plot out a couple vineyards to visit to enjoy tasting and live music or just find the perfect one to spend your afternoon. Pair this outing with a cozy picnic made up of both of your favorite foods and cheeses, and you’ll be sure to woo him all over again.

Tell your guy to take a hike…with you, of course! Another great way to get out and moving on a beautiful fall day; a day date of hiking through a local preserve or park is the perfect way to reconnect through plenty of quality, alone time and fresh air. Take a trail that leads through the changing leaves to admire the colors of the season, and make sure to hold his hand as he guides you through any rough terrain. Now is also a great time to get him talking; use this time in nature to discuss what he likes to do, is particularly excited about, or has been up against at work, even. It’s amazing how many guards come down when you’re entranced by the great outdoors. To pretences or goals, just let the day be about you two. You’ll see how far you can really go.
