I once had someone mention in passing that they though “we” were wealthy by the condition of our lawn. And, experts agree that more often than not, the exterior of our home can reveal a lot about it’s interior and even “us”. In fact, it’s probably among the first, first impressions we make on others and among one of the initial ways they come to conclusions about us.
With that said, experts suggest dressing up not only the interior of your home, but the exterior as well. In fact, many would suggest working from the outside, in.
Consider adding a hint of haute couture to your home by adorning your porch or foyer with some seasonal embellishments. Professionals recommend strategically placing a few pumpkins on the first few steps, creating an eye-catching “center piece” by placing a harvest wreath on your front door, or a bundle of wheat and Spanish moss in a planter, and a tapestry covered table. For added texture, consider a plush pillows added to couches or a chair and/or a glass or ceramic bowl full of pinecones, acorns or seasonal “citrus” and harvest “fruits”.
