Winter is “traditionally” the most popular time for pregnancy. Perhaps is a byproduct of all the jubilant June weddings or possibly the chilling winter evenings. Regardless, many a mom-to-be are happy to show off their burgeoning bellies as we head into spring. And, what’s hot for hot mamas this year?
· Back in black: Known for being sexy, sophisticated, and probably most importantly, slimming, black, including darker denim, along with dark greys will be making a huge comeback this season.
· Bringing sexy back: Just because you’re a mom to be doesn’t mean you have to give up your sexual identity. In fact, sophisticated sexiness is what 2009 moms-to-be can expect from fashion while they are expecting. Look for plunging V-necks, baring one shoulder (sweaters), etc.
· Summer of love: Summer fashions are all about bold, bright colours and pattersn with a hot pair of maternity jeans and some open toed shoes or sandals.
· White is Right: Full white blouses with plenty of “breathing” room, especially when paired with big, bold accessories, gives moms an air of comfort and class as we head into spring and summer.
· Transparent tops: For an added coolness and breeze as temps heat up, these fabulously fad tops are best worn with a tank or undershirt.
· Dynamic dresses: Drop-waist dresses in shimmery summer fabrics give moms-to-be freedom of movement and a fabulous fashion flair.
· Baggy and beautiful: Baggy peasant blouses paired with a sexy pair of shorts (if you’ve got great gams) are all the rage for hot mamas during the hottest part of the year.
· Comfort zones: For gals with great legs, despite being pregnant, pair a blousy top with some leggings and ballet flats for casual fabulousness.
· Prints charming: Animal print tops paired with baggy jeans encourage moms-to-be to take a fashionable walk on the wild side.
· Wrappers Delight: Tops that wrap around your waistline, won over a tank will be all the rage this summer season.
· Attention grabbing tops: Enjoy your pregnancy and your rounder belly. Sport a sassy top that draws attention to your midsection and shows off your sensational mommy shape.
· Take it to the max: Long, maxi dresses are ideal for post-pregnancy posh until you can widdle your middle for more form-fitting fashions again.
