It’s finally that time of year: a time to enjoy the great outdoors and have some fun in the sun. And, for many of us that means heading out to the pool, or down to the beach of shore. But, whether you look like a bathing beauty or a beach bum can depend on whether of not you’ve got the following five essential “beach” accessories.

1. In The Bag: A chic tote to carry all your sunblock, cover-up, sandals, glasses, reading material, etc. It should be large and spacious enough with plenty of storage space so that it never looks overstuffed when you’re in tow. And, always it looks classy and clean from the outside in.

2. Trendy Toppers: Keep safe while looking (bohemian) chic with one a sexy straw hat. Hats are not only “in” but can help protect your hair from the sun, keep it in place and shade your face from the sun and it’s scorching and harmful rays.

3. Suit Yourself: Make sure that you’ve got a great suit that suits your figure and your assets well. Bathing beauties know that less is not always more, and that the best bathing suits offer comfort and coverage while supporting all your curves and flattering your figure. Also, select a suit you can move in easily and that is practical for both sunbathing and water sports.

4. Wrap It Up: Regardless of age or how great of a figure you have, there’s no need for overexposure, especially while biking, blading, or strolling along the boardwalk. And, some may even want to cover up, while reading a book, so they don’t get too much sun. Consider, at minimum, a stylish sarong or a classy and chic cover-up that’s comfy, cute, and a considerate gesture of modesty.

5. Walking On Sunshine: Put your best foot forward with a great, comfortable and easily to transport and take on and off pair of sandals that will also allow you to show off your provocative pedicure.

And, Remember:

· Use only 100 percent UVP sunglasses to shield and protect eyes from the sun

· Keep handy unscented baby wipes to clean hands, feet, glasses, etc, especially from sand and other residue at the beach.

· Don’t forget your sunblock, lip balm, and other essentials (beach/pool pass, wallet, lunch, etc)

· Consider (lightweight) beach/pool chairs in lieu of a blanket or a cotton sheet as a sand coverlet.

· Add conditioner to your wet hair and leave it in. Experts assert that it helps keep hair moisturized and weighs it down helping prevent flyaways and frizz.

· Get a good sunscreen containing both UVA and UV protection. Apply it before hitting the beach or the pool so that it’s well absorbed by your skin, before you’re exposed to the sun. Reapply every couple of hours throughout the day and after you take a dip, even if it is waterproof.
