Every women has that one “thing” she can’t live without, and for most of us that would be our man, but once we’ve got him, it becomes quickly clear that there’s lots (more) we can’t live without, especially if we want to successfully hold on to our man.

Once the honeymoon is over, the other way into a man’s heart is through his stomach, and being able to really cook and things up in the kitchen (as well as in the bedroom) is one delicious way to keep your man’s appetite and dining habits at home.

And, according to experts, domestic divas know the value of not only having a “sexy” kitchen where they can prepare exotic and exquisite meals, but also about having all the right tools (for the job). And, they add, it’s especially important if you’re limited on space.

Here are a few (quality) expert selections that really sizzle:

1. Chop, Chop: When picking cutlery, make sure you choose a knife that’s a cut above the rest. Look for something that is high quality. Even though it may cost a little more, it will last a long time. And, experts add, as long as it’s good (unless you keep Kosher or don’t want to cut meat with a vegetable knife), all you need is one.

2. Something To Lean On: You don’t want, but actually need a good cutting board. Make sure you select one that is large enough to allow you to pile up ingredients without having to use other dishes to store as you chop. By the way, wood board would be, according to the experts, your best bet.

3. More Of A Good Thing: Most people have more than one cutting board (anyway). Experts agree that this is an excellent investment, using one for fruits and veggies and one for processing meat(s). They suggest a rubber cutting board for meats and fish. Rubber boards are more easily sterilized by running them under sudsy, soapy, hot water, and they should contain soft-grip feed on the bottom to help keep them firmly in place.

4. Bin There Done That: Invest in a large bowl or small countertop garbage pail that you that can keep by your workspace (unless you have an easily accessible garbage disposal) that you can easily toss garbage into so that you don’t have to run back and forth to the garbage can, saving you some precious time.

5. Skillful Skillet: According to experts, the mistake most newlyweds make is registering for or purchasing cookware set that frequently feature pots and pans that are too small and not very suited to cooking. Instead, it’s recommended investing a deep-sided (iron) skillet that can be used for a variety of ( ), from frying to making soups, stews or sauce.

6. Ladles Of Love: If you love to cook, then you should have what every “chef” needs to stir the pot with a little love. Wooden spoons don’t scratch cookware and some are even notched to rest comfortably and securely on the edge of your pot, so you don’t have to worry about drips or about a spoons rest.
