I have ALWAYS been into health and fitness from my first dance class until now, my quest to hold onto my youth. And, physical activity has pretty much been a daily rountine for me. And, yesterday, one of my trainers gave me a run for my money, reminding me that body-bearing season is almost here.
While I know she’s right, part of me couldn’t help but think…but it’s only March, and “I” don’t feel warm enough to bare anything until July or August. Still, getting a head start is what it’s all about, and the experts agree. Here are a few helpful hints for helping you spring into spring.
· Picture yourself being the “picture-perfect” you According to experts, envisioning yourself reaching your “goal” weight or shape can help you get there. You can even “photoshop” a photo of yourself at various stages of making progress and tape it to your refrigerator, stove, computer, etc,…as a way to keep you motivated and on track.
· Remember, your allergies are nothing to sneeze at According to experts suffering from seasonal allergies may actually be a “good” thing since some studies suggest allergies lower your risk or certain cancers. This, because allergy symptoms get rid of toxins before they can do damage to healthy cells. In addition, having allergies discourages most from coming in contact with chemicals, smoke, etc and that also helps reduce the risk of some cancers, such as skin cancer, lung cancer, throat, cervical, uteran, and gastrointestinal cancers.
