So my first RE appointment is the 18th
I'm meeting one on one with the doc to discuss my history and course of action.
I know they are going to start with CD3 bloodwork and follow my cycle this month.
Can any explain what that means, for example how many times I may be back and forth to his office/lab.
Also when is CD3? I'm almost positive AF will show the day after my visit (the 19th) so is the 21 my CD3...

Firstly good luck! CD3 is cycle day 3 which is day 3 of your period. Depending on what course of treatment is decided upon between you & RE will depend on how oftern you will need to go. Which RE are you going to? I go to North Shore and when you do a CD3 blood you can go to a local Quest lab, which is easier than driving to hospital.
Good luck with everything, let us know what the RE says!

CD 3 will tell you your LH, estradiol, FSH and progesterone. These are basically measures of your bodies' hormonal state. You should also get the full thrombophilia panel as well as some other tests. I can FM you a list if you want. Let me know.

Re: So my first RE appointment is the 18th
Thanks Ladies,
I'm currently living in the Florida Panhandle so my RE Dr. Ripps he is the only RE in the whole Panhandle
I'm nervous about starting everything up especially so close to the holidays. Luckily my husband should be home shortly which will be a big help! lol
Luckily or unluckily we seem to get pregnant very easily but keep having miscarriages I hope he can solve our/my problem with Dh's deployment schedule being so frequent we only have a few cycles a year where he is actually home for when I ovulate.

Re: So my first RE appointment is the 18th
I just had my first RE appointment this a.m. Even though I left there so upset - mostly because I just cannot believe how difficult it is to get pg - I felt good about taking some more aggressive steps.
The number of visits will depend on your course of treatment but, as an example, I will go back on CD3 for the blood test and then start Clomid. I'll go back on CD 12 for a sonogram. If the Clomid doesn't work (and we're thinking It probably won't), next month we'll start the procedures for IVF.
Good luck to you!!
