Anyone been to Ft. Lauderdale/Hollywood Beach, Florida?
We are going for a short trip for my bday in 3 weeks. It was a Christmas gift from hubby:) Anyone have any recommendations of places to check out or restuarants/bars to go to? TY!

one of the many Cheeburger Cheeburgers in the area.
I don't know a lot., Every time we've been there we were visiting family and running around trying to cram in visits. Not a lot of time for fun

Hollywood is only a little bit north of Miami/South Beach so there are tons of good resteraunts down there.
I don't know if you like steak but we went to Don Schuler's steakhouse in Fort Lauderdale and it was sooo good!! I can't remember the names of other places---sorry!!! But you'll have a great time-there is plenty to do there! We went for a few days last year and it was great.

Go down to Las Olas Boulevard - it is a really nice shopping area w/ lots of restaurants. Try Max's Grille - very inexpensive and great food. It is on the waterfront in Las Olas.

Semiole Hard Rock Hotel - is another place not mentioned above. We stayed there one night after our cruise in august of 2005. Attached to the hotel is a really nice entertainment area - it is a bunch of stores, restaurants, comedy clubs, bars, and clubs.
We ate at Tatu which was really cool and the food was great - at the end they give you apple cotton candy - it is like one of the trendy NYC restaurants - I would make a reservation if you can if you want to eat there though.

I second this hotel. Probably the nicest room I have ever stayed in- EVER. Hotel is gorgeous and the pool is phenominal!!!

Coral Springs is right near Ft. Lauderdale and there are some really good restaurants there. Unfortunately, I can't think of the fish restaurant I want to send you to. ( )
