Commuters... What type of bag...

.... do you use? Do you carry an bag in addition to your every day bag? I just got a job in NYC and I'm not sure what is going to be the easiest, 2 bags or just 1 big one.

TIA!

Re: Commuters... What type of bag...

I always either carried my regular purse, which I'd take with me when I went out for lunch, plus a big bag with all my xtra crap in it (makeup, comfy shoes, bills to pay, etc.) OR, I'd throw my wallet in the big bag and just take that.

I do not like carrying two bags, so I just carry my laptop in a laptop bag that I got at Eddie Bauer and put my wallet and makeup in there too.

Re: Commuters... What type of bag...

I always used to carry one pretty large bag/purse...so I could hold an umbrella, school books (when I was doing my MA), magazines, lunch (if I was motivated enough to make it..), etc..

I have my purse (bag) and sometimes when I take breakfast and lunch or papers with me a small shopping bag.

I don't like carrying more than I need to. I leave shoes at work and change there and don't carry a laptop-I have a b-berry.

When I commuted to the city, I used this bag to carry everything. Occasionally, I also carried a briefcase with me.

I had the same one Brooke! It was great--big enough to carry a book or magazine plus small umbrella and necessities, without being too bulky.

I don't commute into the city, but on the days I travel or have to go to the city I use a laptop bag and just throw a small purse or wristlet in there.
