College students, what type of bag

do you use for your books?

I want a stylish one not a boogbag per se.

Re: College students, what type of bag

I quickly got over the cute stylish bags when I'd come home with bruised shoulders.

Those books get really heavy!

I use a plain old timberland backpack with padded straps. Equal distribution of weight, sits nice and high on my back, and holds a lot more than my cute bags.

Re: College students, what type of bag

for FIT I didn't have too many text books- so I just used an oversize purse

Re: College students, what type of bag

The Coach tote is great, and it is pretty durable for the train commute.

Re: College students, what type of bag

I used a nylon coach bag for 2 years and it held up pretty well. I bought it on my honeymoon so it wasn't very expensive, but even if I had paid full price it was worth it for the beating I gave it.

My friend used the Coach Diaper bag as her school bag. I used a large Kate Spade bag while in grad school.

Re: College students, what type of bag

I always stuck with my good old JanSport backpack. Anything else I tried, tote, messenger bag, whatever, ended up hurting my back or shoulders.

I use a back pack. I get shoulder pain when I carry around books on my shoulder. I feel mroe comfortable b/c the weight is evenly distributed.

Good luck with school! Chat Icon

I use the Coach tote for work (I have to carry files/notebooks a lot) and it's great. Back in college, I had the Kate Spade messenger bag. It fit a lot and wasn't incredibly expensive for the quality (I still have it!). I think it was around $200, maybe less.
