Can someone explain Weight Watchers to me!!

I went on their website, and they only give you bits and pieces of information without telling you too much (I guess they want you to sign up first).
How often do you have to go in, how much does it cost, and whats the difference between the points system and the other one (sorry, I don't remember what its called).

You can go in whenever you want but usually it's once a week to be weighed in

The points system is just that...every food has a point value associated with it and depending on your height and weight you are allowed a certain amount of points per day. You then also get Flex points for the week which cna be used whenever and however you choose.

The Core is a list of core foods you can eat all you want of (no points) then you also get 35 Flex points for the week.

Thanks! I'm thinking about it---apparently my metabolism just isn't what it used to be and I'd like to lose just a few pounds.

I got info from my local WW, what can I expect at my first meeting? Will I be really overwhelmed?

it will just be a regular meeting where they usually have some sort of topic that the leader discusses. This week at my meeting we talked about how to handle summer BBQs. After the meeting the leader asks anybody new to stay after and she goes over the pogram and how it works. I just went back to WW 2 weeks ago. It's really pretty easy to follow. Good luck!
