I want to start trying and DH doesn't!!!!!

I am so depressed. I want to start trying so bad and DH wants to wait awhile. I am afraid that we might have problems getting pregnant and I don't want to wait. It is so frustrating that he has all of the control on this.

Why do you fear you will have problems?
Is he giving you a time frame of what exactly "waiting a little while" means?

Its a big thing to decide to start TTC. I know in my case it was the exact opposite...DH was waiting for me, he actually got me down to a year less. As we all know its not just having a child with the one you love, its a WHOLE life change...and that can be frightening to both the man and the woman. Talk about it. Find out why he wants to wait. Let him know why you don't want to. Communication is the best way. Maybe if he knew the average amount of time it takes to get PG he may reconsider.

I'm so sorry you are feeling frustrated! I want to start right away too- in fact, I would have loved to start 6 months ago- DH would like to wait a year from now so we decided January- kind of silly, just compromising over a few months but it made me feel better because I too, worry that I will have trouble getting preggo- my mom had a lot of trouble.....DH wanted to wait the year because we would have more time to save money- did DH tell you why he wants to wait?
