Food aversions
So what has been everyone's food aversions since they got pregnant.
I ate a salad a day with oil and balsamic vinegar every day. Now I can't stand fresh veggies and the smell of balsamic vineger does not agree with me. I have been wanting sweet foods, like sweet and sour chicken- but not pastries (which I usually love).

A lot of foods. I would think I would be losing weight, but no! I can't see Chinese food (and I usual love it), red meat and salad as well.

Re: Food aversions
During my first trimester the only thing I could eat was bread; everything else made me sick!
On a related topic, I was wondering when everybody started to have cravings. I'm 16w3d and havne't had any cravings yet.

Re: Food aversions
i am usually a sweetaholic, now anything sweet makes me i cant even stand the smell of pepsi. If i eat or drink anything sweet the taste just lingers for the entire day

Re: Food aversions
Fresh veggies really got me, but bananas were the worst. Just the sight of one would make me gag.
I never had any cravings until the last month, when I wanted a hamburger like 3 times a week. Weird, since I usually have like 1 a month.

Re: Food aversions
Veggies have been tough most of the pregnancy. Then all of a sudden at 37 weeks eggs grossed me out! I can't eat eggs at all right now. Other than that I didn't have anything too major.

Re: Food aversions
I haven't had any cravings either. Im 16 weeks - but ive had some food aversions.
Pasta w/garlic and oil, shesh kabobs and any reat meat makes me want to puke!
I remember making the garlic and oil when i first found out i was pregnant and couldn't bare the smell of the garlic - it made me want to gag - these are foods that i've vowed not to eat during this pregnancy - i've eaten red meat but very little - its strange because that something i enjoy eating!

Re: Food aversions
Veal and red meat I dont like at all. Even the smell once I take it out of the package is gross to me and I dont like chicken to begin with so I have been eating alot of eggs for dinner. I have been craving fish but I really try to limit myself to the most once a week. The only thing that didn't change was my tastebuds for anything sweet.

Re: Food aversions
I go through phases of things I want or not want rather than avoid. I've had an easy PG thus far.
Right now I'm on a french fry kick and cookies n cream ice cream-Edy's only!
Oh...and anything cinnamon...but that's been ongoing!

Alot of things give me really bad heartburn so I've been trying to watch what I eat.
